You Me At Six - O2 Academy, Birmingham 22.11.2018
On November the 22nd You Me At Six took to the stage to preform to a packed out O2 Academy, where the crowd would be in for a night of new and classic You Me At Six tunes.
This date was the first of an 8 show run, four of which would be celebrating 10 years since the release of ‘Take Off Your Coloursʼ.
Support for this tour came from The XCERTS and Marmozets, both of which had new albums out this year and did not disappoint when it came to matching the energy of the You Me At Six boys.
The set started with 'Fast Forward, the opening track off the bands newest album 'VI', which has been hugely popular with fans. What was also great to see is that there was something for new and old fans, with the band going through their impressive back catalogue of songs and even pulling out the mosh endusing ‘Bite My Tongueʼ which was meet with a roar from the YMAS faithful.
Not only were fans treated to a great night of music, but visually the stage show was also really impressive. Which consisted of a large pyramid structure covered in LEDs which fluidly changed the atmosphere of each song.
Overall I believe that fans of the upcoming shows will not be disappointed, and those that will be attending the special anniversary shows are in for a real treat !
