Jo Harman - 'Cloudy' Single Review

Obviously, this is not a new song, initially performed by the Average White Band this is very much Jo Harman’s own take.

Put simply, it's beautiful.

Jo has stripped the song back and focused on the words and the singing, the thing about Jo’s singing of this song is I truly believe her, her voice is a tremendous instrument with so much depth and emotion in it.

There is a simplicity and pureness that has been wrung out of the lyrics, accompanied by some excellent, understated piano playing.

Whether it will resonate with a wider audience I don’t know but it deserves to. Jo converted me to being a fan on the first listen, repeated listens just strengthened my enjoyment.
