With infectious energy and a bold new sound, Tooth Gore delivers a standout track in their new single ‘So?’ which premiered on BBC in early January. First available on Spotify on the 31st of January, this single serves as Tooth Gore’s first release in 2025. This song is an uplifting fusion of Indie Rock and Surf Punk, with a chorus that is sure to get stuck in your head.
‘So?’ boasts a catchy melody, elevating vocals, and lyrics that make me feel like I’m chasing my friend through some trees on a summer's day but “So what? We are still young.” That’s what I truly love about this song, how it can take you back to a happy place when all that mattered was having fun, but “So what? There is still time.” Not only does this song remind you of sunny days, but the repetition of “there is still time” serves as an important reminder for everyone to slow down, take some time for themselves and have fun!
‘So?’ has a slightly different vibe to previous singles like ‘No Fighting In Doo-Wop’ and Tooth Gore’s debut album ‘Halloween’, with his previous work carrying a slightly more serious sentiment and heavier guitar arrangements. This song has certainly left a lasting impression on me, and it is definitely a song that can be replayed or put on repeat!
With a gig on the 14th of February in London, 2025 could be a great year in music for Tooth Gore if he continues to expand his repertoire of sound in the way he has here. Overall, this single has earned Tooth Gore a new fan and I’m excited to see what the future holds for this artist!
